Hello I’m Gillian and have lived most of my life in Marple. My sanctuary is the surrounding countryside and this is where I find my inspiration. I usually paint semi-abstract landscapes using acrylics on canvas. I build up several layers and enjoy seeing the colours and shapes that emerge. I also love soft pastels for their scrumptious colours. These pictures lean more towards realism though I’m hoping to move towards greater abstraction in the future.
