A fascinating demonstration by Steve Oxley, showing his knowledge and skill of wood graining and marbling. Knowing how each species of tree grows and how the wood has been cut is crucial to replicating the graining; the same applies to marble – knowing how it was formed is the key to reproduction. And Steve has that knowledge in spades!
Following on from a quick session on 2/10/2025, in a 2 hour demonstration, Steve created three types of mahogany, two of oak, two different marbles plus a trompe l’oeil.
