I was born and raised in Bolton, currently live in New Mills. I took up painting more seriously in 2016, and have taught myself through books and online courses.
At galleries I am drawn to the work of the impressionists; I love their mastery of colour and brush strokes, and this has influenced my work. I mainly work in oils and pastels, and prefer landscapes particularly where there’s a message about humanity’s interaction with nature.
